Karylle, Yael Yuzon renew vows to mark 10th wedding anniversary

Karylle and Spongecola vocalist Yael Yuzon commemorated their 10th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows in the Church of the Gesù at the Ateneo de Manila University on Saturday, March 9.
The couple, who first tied the knot on March 21, 2014, solidified their commitment to each other in a ceremony witnessed by their family and close friends, as seen on the Instagram posts of Karyllle’s mother, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and events director Paolo Valenciano.
Karylle was a radiant bride in a custom-made Filipiniana by Jor-el Espina and a matching headband, while Yuzon looked sleek in a black and off-white modern Barong Tagalog during the ceremony.
“Congratulations, K and Yael! It was a beautiful ceremony for your renewal of vows,” Padilla wrote in a gallery of photos and video, which showed the couple singing the popular Catholic song, “Anima Christi.”

Meanwhile, Valenciano expressed his love for the couple in glimpses of their vow renewal ceremony.
“My loves,” he said in the caption.

Yuzon’s older brother and Archipelago lead vocalist Yani, on the other hand, said on Instagram that “deep faith, mutual support, and true friendship” are some of the reasons why the musician and Karylle’s relationship lasted long.
“Few things are more beautiful to see than friends who marry and become better friends to each other over the years. The both of you are so equal to the mission of placing the other’s needs over your own to the point of selflessness, that each ends up getting almost all the nourishing care one needs directly from the other,” Yani said in his post.

Meanwhile, Yael’s sister Ysabel shared a clip of the end tail of the couple’s duet during the mass ceremony.

Yuzon proposed to the singer-actress on the Feb. 26 of Kapamilya noontime show “It’s Showtime,” where the musician said his wedding proposal to Karylle took place at a car parked at the exact spot where they had their first kiss.
The couple wed in March 2014 at a garden ceremony in Tagaytay.
