Sid Lucero says Andi Eigenmann is the strongest among half-siblings

Sid Lucero expressed love and admiration for his half-sister Andi Eigenmann who he said is the strongest among them half-siblings, and who is now dealing with the death of her mom Jaclyn Jose.
At the press conference of his new movie “Miss Probinsyana,” Lucero said Eigenmann is tough enough to endure the pain of losing, first, their father Mark Gil, and now her mother.
“She’s the only one out of all of us na pareho nang wala [she’s the only one with both parents gone], but fitting rin because, not to sound insensitive, out of everybody, she’s the strongest, so siya ‘yung makaka-kaya non [she’s the one who can handle it],” he said.
Lucero shared that he was there on the first day of the late multi-awarded actress’ wake, where only family and close friends were allowed to attend.
When asked how he is showing support to his half-sister, the actor affirmed that letting Eigenmann grieve is the least thing he could do for her.
“My way of supporting Andi is letting her deal with this, all of the formalities, and once this dies down, she has time for herself, let herself rest. And we’ll see each other as soon as we can. Andi is strong. She got all the support from everybody,” he remarked.
Coming from a big, blended family who has dealt with the loss of several family members over the years, Lucero underscored that they will always be there for each other.
“I think I speak for the rest of the family, I’m trying to focus more on my sister because of course, that’s her mom. I can only pretend to be the son… It doesn’t matter if I never spend time with your mom, if it’s your mom, she’s my mom, that’s how we are,” he said.
Lucero looked back on his fondest memories with the multi-awarded actress, sharing that he got his first acting lessons from her, and stressed that Jose is the only actor who knows how to properly act.
“I’ll tell you how good she is, we have this thing called Jaclyn Jose School of Underacting because we think acting is a certain way, we’re all wrong. She’s the only one doing it right,” he said.
“In fact, if you wanna be correct, Jaclyn Jose is the actor… Someone calls her an underacting person, that’s how you do it. She’s the only one who knows how to act. She’s not underacting, we’re all overacting,” Lucero explained.
