Andi Eigenmann dedicates poem to mom Jaclyn Jose

Days after her mother Jaclyn Jose’s death, Andi Eigenmann expressed her love and longing for the late veteran actress through a poem she composed.
“Ika’y nasa araw, sa ulan, at sa hangin na aking nilalasap. Umaawit ng kantang puno ng pag-asa at ligaya. Wala na ang sakit. Wala na ang takot. Makikita kita sa mga ulap, maririnig ang iyong mga bulong ng pagmamahal. Magkikita din tayong muli. Sa ngayon, didinggin ko muna ang iyong mga awit,” the poem read, as seen on Eigenmann’s Instagram Stories on Tuesday, March 5.
(You’re in the sun, the rain, and in the air I breathe; singing a song full of hope and joy. There’s no more pain; there’s no more fear. I will see you in the clouds, and hear your whispers of love. We will see each other again. For now, I will just listen to your songs.)

This came a day after an emotional Eigenmann faced the members of the press to confirm the death of Jose on Sunday, March 2, due to myocardial infarction or heart attack.
The screen veteran, who became the first Filipina to win the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for her performance in the Brillante Mendoza-helmed film “Ma’ Rosa,” was found lifeless in her home in Quezon City. She was 60.
Jose’s wake is being held at Arlington Memorial Chapel in Quezon City. Some of the first few celebrities to visit the wake were Alden Richards, Sid Lucero, Amy Austria, Gardo Versoza and Jake Ejercito, the father of Eigenmann’s eldest daughter Ellie.
