Miss World 2024 will have Megan Young do hosting duties anew for the international pageant’s coronation night to be held on March 9 in Mumbai, India.

Young, the lone Miss World winner from the Philippines to date, had previously hosted the global tilt’s 2014 edition, a year after her coronation in Indonesia. She was also one of the presenters in the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 editions, giving her a six-year tenure as host.

For the 71st Miss World pageant this year, Young will be back for her seventh stint as presenter for the coronation night.

The ceremonies will be held at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai, India, and will start at 10:30 p.m. (Manila time).

Sharing hosting chores with Young is Indian celebrity Karan Johar, with Shaan, Nehan Kakkar, and, Tony Kakkar performing.

This year’s Miss World competition will have 112 participants, with Gwendolyne Fourniol representing the Philippines.

Fourniol has already arrived in India, but her anticipation has taken a rollercoaster ride with the announcement of several dates and venues for the competition. There had been talks that the international pageant would be held in London, before the organization said that the contest would be held in the United Arab Emirates.

The current edition is being held two years after the most recent competition staged in Puerto Rico, where Karolina Bielawska captured the crown.
