The parents of Sarah Lahbati piqued netizens’ curiosity after they were seen at the Department of Justice (DOJ) office in Manila, seemingly hinting about an ongoing legal battle.

Sarah’s mom Esther and dad Abdel, who was holding what appears to be documents in a folder, posed for a photo in front of the DOJ building, as seen on Esther’s Instagram page on Thursday, Feb. 29.

“Finally, na-post ko na rin itong picture na ‘to. Taga-rito ako sa Philippines [pero] ngayon lang ako nakapagpa-picture dito sa DOJ,” Esther captioned her post.

Esther did not immediately state the purpose of their visit to the government office.

She, however, intrigued her followers after she noticeably liked several comments speculating that their visit might have something to do with their daughter’s rumored marriage problem with actor Richard Gutierrez.

Some of the netizens’ comments include remarks such as “Praying for you and [Sarah]”; “Fight for what is right”; and “I will always support Sarah no matter what.”

Sarah and Gutierrez have been hounded by breakup speculations since the latter part of 2023. While neither of them has publicly confirmed it yet, Sarah recently admitted that she and Gutierrez are not on speaking terms.

Despite this, she clarified that they are “good at parenting” their sons Zion and Kai, and that they are always present for the kids.
