Blackpink’s Jisoo has taken a new step in her career as she announced the launch of Blissoo, an entertainment company founded by the singer-actress herself.
In a joint Instagram post on Wednesday, Feb. 21, Jisoo confirmed the opening of Blissoo which she referred to as her “new start” in the entertainment industry.
“Hello, this is Jisoo. I’m excited to share my new start with Blissoo. Stay tuned for what’s to come, as I’m dedicated to bringing joy and happiness to each and every one of you,” she wrote.
Jisoo also hoped that fans would support her in the next stage of her career as a solo artist and Blackpink member.
“Please continue to shower your love and support for Jisoo with Blissoo, and also for Blackpink. Thank you,” she said.
Meanwhile, Blissoo said in an official statement that it aims to be a company that “shares the happiness” that the singer-actress will do throughout her career.
“Transcending the boundaries of genres and fields, our mission is to share the happiness that Jisoo creates in her own unique way,” it wrote.
Jisoo is the third Blackpink member to launch her label after Jennie’s Odd Atelier in December 2023 and Lisa’s Lloud earlier this month. Meanwhile, as of this writing, details about Rosé’s solo activities are yet to be announced.
The “Snowdrop” star’s former agency YG Entertainment confirmed in November 2023 that the quartet renewed their contracts as a group, but didn’t come to terms with the agency regarding their solo activities.
Blackpink debuted as a four-piece act in August 2016 with the single album “Square One.” The group is known for their hit songs “How You Like That,” “Pink Venom,” and “Shut Down,” just to name a few.
