Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin portray two friends who secretly have romantic feelings for each other in the music video of Nobita’s new single “Tayo Na Lang.”

In the video released on the OPM band’s YouTube channel on Friday, Feb. 16, the love-team partners, dubbed as FranSeth, enjoy a slumber party along with other friends.

Diaz, who initially appears to have a one-sided love, glances at Fedelin every once in a while, daydreaming about how they would look together. The two would then fall asleep and would be left alone in the room.

Diaz, after realizing that everyone was gone, lies next to the sleeping Fedelin. Fedelin then wakes up a few moments later and goes outside the room to look at Diaz’s photo on his phone.

With a smile on his face and his eyes glued to Diaz’s photo, Fedelin says, “Tayo na lang.”

This is the second time the pair has starred in a music video, with their stint as a young couple in Ace Banzuelo’s “Muli” music video as the first.

“The members of NOBITA are fans of Franseth,” MV director Jeff Valencia revealed in a press statement, noting that Diaz and Fedelin were the band’s first choice for the project.

“But more than their preference, there’s something about Francine and Seth that exudes both chemistry and enigma. It felt like the song was specifically written for them,” he added. “That’s how good and natural their performance was.”

Lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist Jaeson Felisimino further said that the plot twist, which was Fedelin’s revelation of his feelings at the latter part of the clip, was a “non-negotiable” part of the music video.

“We just want to make songs that reflect the state that we’re in,” the band shared. “We also care about delivering good songs that stand the test of time.”

“Tayo Na Lang,” written by Jaeson Felismino, Sam Aquino II and Mark Quintero, and co-produced by Brian Lotho, was released on Wednesday, Feb. 14, in time for Valentine’s Day.
