Boy Abunda has chosen to keep his silence after appearing to feel alluded to by Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque as among those who confirmed their breakup without their consent.

Abunda said he had every reason to react to Alonzo and Roque’s joint statement, but he would rather respect the wishes of the couple about wanting to keep their privacy for the meantime.

In their statement which was posted on Instagram on Sunday, Feb. 11, Alonzo and Roque said they decided to call off their wedding, although their position on their relationship remains uncertain as they didn’t clarify if they had indeed ended their romance for good.

“There have been many speculations, questions, and insults. Unfortunately, some even confirmed our breakup without our consent. Some created ridiculous stories that had no basis and were utterly false,” their statement read.

Days before the pair’s confirmation, Abunda, citing his own sources, reported that Alonzo and Roque had indeed broken up. His confirmation, however, merely echoed those that have already been making the rounds of show biz circles.
