James Reid to establish own fashion line after attending Milan, Paris shows
James Reid attended Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks for the first time, and after the memorable experience, he got inspired such that he wants to establish his own fashion line.
Sitting down with Peewee Reyes-Isidro on “MEGA: The Next Move,” the actor-singer recalled how he got invited to the fashion events and stressed he didn’t need to be a “fashion expert” to enjoy it.
“I’m super grateful to be invited by these fashion houses that are some of the best in the world. I’m really there just to enjoy it. I wouldn’t say that I’m a fashion expert or a trendsetter. I was definitely inspired and maybe one day I’ll make my own fashion line,” he said.
Reid shared that he was able to meet some global icons like James Franco and Giorgio Armani, but his experience was also packed with shyness and nervousness.
“The very first show I went to was Fendi. It was very intimidating at first. I was kind of nervous. I wasn’t sure why, there’s this air in Milan Fashion Week that’s very electric, it’s very exciting, it gets the nerves going but it was cool,” shared the actor.

I had a little fangirl moment and unfortunately I didn’t get a photo because I was too shy,” he added as he mentioned also meeting Armani.

“People aren’t afraid of anything when it comes to clothing. I think that was the biggest takeaway for me. People were commenting on some of the pieces that I was wearing. I’m very comfortable with my own sexuality, my masculinity. The shoes or the pants I’m wearing don’t really define my sexuality. It’s just my taste,” he affirmed.
Reid also shared that fashion is now something he sees to be actively pursuing, and he can’t wait to be back at the next fashion week.
