The former actress honored her father by showing a photo of them together when they were younger, via her Instagram page on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

Melissa’s brother, actor-singer Janno Gibbs, earlier remembered the veteran actor as well, looking back on one of their last filming moments together for the latter’s directorial debut “Itutumba Ka ng Tatay Ko.”

The project is the last film Janno did with Valdez.

Valdezwhose career spanned decades, was found dead in his bedroom in the afternoon of Dec. 17. He was 76.
