Megastar Sharon Cuneta revealed she has a project abroad—a possible Hollywood series that is currently in the early stages of development.
On her social media accounts, the megastar shared a few screenshots of the conversations that include some details about her upcoming project in the United States.
As read in the screenshots, Cuneta’s US management is working on the actress’ schedule to fit into the timeline of the show from May until year’s end in Los Angeles, California.
“From my U.S. management. I think I wanna do this! But waiting for my [schedule] pa here. ‘Pag natuloy ito hay salamat malalayo ako ng konting tagal sa Pilipinas sama ko pamilya ko,” wrote the actress.
Cuneta affirmed her interest in doing the said show but stated the need to meet her prior obligations for other projects first.
“Thinking hard and praying pa. I have a movie that is supposed to start filming soon, plus a concert tour, solo or not doesn’t matter to me! I want this but I have previous commitments. Let’s see,” she said.
Cuneta’s career
In 2023, Cuneta had a sold-out reunion concert with former partner Gabby Concepcion, with whom she has a daughter, actress KC Concepcion. The former love team also performed their “Dear Heart” concert in Cebu.
The megastar also recently starred in “Family of Two,” one of the official entries of the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Cuneta plays the mother of Kapuso hunk Alden Richards in the movie.
Cuneta began her career in the 1970s. She took the Philippine entertainment industry by storm with her abilities in both singing and acting. She received platinum and gold records for her songs and won various awards for her leading roles in film and television.
Recently, Filipina stars have been expanding their horizons in Hollywood, with Dolly de Leon paving the way and now Liza Soberano and Ruby Ruiz following along.
