In the lunar calendar, 2024 is designated as the “Year of the Wood Dragon,” with the New Year starting on Feb. 10 when a new moon cycle commences. Noted Filipino geomancer Marites Allen discussed what people under the different animal signs may possibly expect, and INQUIRER.net looked at the probable fortunes of some of the most popular local celebrities based on the years they were born.

Allen gathered a select group of media scribes at the swanky Manila House Private Club at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City late last year and said, “the Year of the Wood Dragon 2024 symbolizes fresh starts and potential for growth and progress.” This year also signifies the start of the “wood” cycle in the lunar calendar. Last year was the Year of the Water Rabbit which corresponds to fluidity, flexibility, and changes.
