Boots Anson-Roa honors Ronaldo Valdez’s life as an actor
Veteran actress Boots Anson Roa looked back on the mark that renowned actor Ronaldo Valdez left in the film industry, having worked with him countless times, with one project being the most recent and one of the last that the actor worked on before his tragic death.
During the press conference for “Good Game (GG): The Movie,” Anson-Roa commemorated the memory of the veteran actor and stressed that the people should celebrate his significant contribution to the industry instead of just grieving for him.
“Kung wala po itong jigsaw puzzle part na ‘to, hindi po ito mako-kumpleto, itong pelikula. We are referring to the late Ronaldo Valdez. This is not the time to mourn his death, but the time, I think, for us to enjoy, all of you, to celebrate the illustrious and meaningful life that he led as an actor,” she said.
“And as a member of the industry, remember him with fondest thoughts and a lot of respect for his filmography and his great contribution to the industry by way of his work,” added Anson-Roa.
The award-winning actress mentioned the nature of Valdez’s goofing around on set and with his co-actors, joking that he might be there looking after them.
