Gladys Reyes commends Maris Racal’s work ethic

Gladys Reyes praised Maris Racal’s good attitude toward work and her co-actors after the two got to work together in “Here Comes the Groom.”
Sitting down with the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano, Reyes mentioned that she is glad she hasn’t worked with any young actors with a bad attitude.
“Awa naman ng Diyos, Nay, wala pa ‘kong naka-work na alam mo na, ’di ba? Hindi naman uubra ’di ba, Nay? Napaka-marespeto ng mga bata naman na naka-trabaho ko,” she said.
The Primera Kontrabida then said Racal is one of the actors from the current generation who have talent and dedication to their work and have respect for their workmates in the industry.
“First time ko to work with, sa ‘Here Comes the Groom’ si Maris Racal. Si Maris po is one of the promising and talented actors that we have now,” said Reyes.
“At saka musikera din, ano, ’yong bata. And, nakita ko rin ’yong kagutushan niya do’n sa ginagawa niya. ’Yong respeto niya sa ka-trabaho, ’yong dedication noong bata,” added the actress.
Racal is currently starring as Irene Tiu in “Can’t Buy Me Love,” and she is receiving acclaim for her versatility in portraying the character. She is also charming the netizens with her funny tweets and memes she creates out of herself.
The netizens are also dubbing the former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate as the current generation’s rom-com queen as Racal continues to delight them with her charm both on-screen and online.
“Thankful ako sa mga netizens na tinatawag akong romcom queen. It’s a huge title especially here sa country natin na mahilig sa romcom,” she said.
Aside from Racal, Reyes also praised Enchong Dee and expressed her gladness for having worked with a set of the current generation who are up to their responsibilities as actors.
“Thinking actor rin. Gustong gusto ko siya kausap kasi napaka totoo lang din niya. Alam mo ‘yung direct to the point [siya],” she said of Dee.
“So far, ‘yung mga batang natin, ‘yung mga bagong henerasyon ika nga na mga aktor, nakakatuwa kasi aba talagang nilelevel up talaga nila ‘yung kanilang game ika nga, inaaral nila, ganyan,” concluded Reyes.
