Karylle and husband Yael Yuzon serenaded Iza Calzado and Bianca King’s daughters, Deia Amihan and Sadie Harlow, respectively, as they sang their rendition of Disney’s “A Whole New World,” just hours after their christening.
In an Instagram reel, the couple dazzled the little girls with their charming voices, as if giving life to Aladdin and Jasmine riding the magical love carpet.
“A magic carpet ride with the Wintles. We love you, Deia, and Sadie. It’s a beautiful day for the two cousins who were baptized earlier this morning. They received so much love and blessings from their family and godparents. I’m happy to be a part of your life, Deia. Ninang loves you very much. I hope you enjoyed our playdate as a cousin na ninang ako today,” wrote Karylle.
Calzado commented on the post and thanked the couple for gracing the children with their gift and talent of singing.
“Grabe itong moment na ito! Thank you for blessing our children! Thank you for blessing us!” she wrote.
Aside from the little girls who were engrossed in the couple’s captivating voices, the netizens and celebrities were also in awe upon hearing Karylle and Yuzon’s version of one of the most popular Disney songs.
“I thought at first you were watching the original film. ‘Yun pala Yael was singing! Then ikaw naman. It was definitely a core memory for the babies!” said Direk Mark Reyes.
Karylle and Calzado’s “Encantadia” co-star Diana Zubiri also expressed her delight at seeing the bonding moment between her friends and the babies.
“Grabe naman to. Nakaka miss! I can’t wait to meet you, Deia, and Sadie,” wrote Zubiri.
Beauty queen MJ Lastimosa also pitched in and said, “Sarap naman maging mom and dad na-mesmerize yung mga bagets.”
On January 13, Calzado and King marked another milestone as sisters-in-law as they held a double baptism ceremony for their baby daughters.
