SB19’s Justin makes acting debut as P-pop idol Jared in ‘Senior High’

Justin De Dios of SB19 made his acting debut as “the Jared of P-pop” on the Jan. 10 episode of the ABS-CBN youth series “Senior High,” where he was also introduced as the prom date of Gela Atayde’s character, Sanya.
Justin made his long-awaited appearance on the show’s Jan. 10 episode, where his good looks caught the attention of Kenjie, played by Tommy Alejandrino.
“Kenjie, I heard so much about you! Nice meeting you,” Jared said, to which a visibly gleeful Kenjie asked if he could be his “friend.”
“Of course. Basta chill lang tayo, walang drama (As long as we’re chill and there’s no drama),” he replied, before flashing an okay sign with his left hand.
After taking pictures, the scene then shifted to Justin teaching Atayde and Alejandrino the steps of SB19’s song “Bazinga” while it played in the background. The track is the theme song of the youth series.

The SB19 member joked on X (formerly Twitter) that he just wanted to dance along to “Bazinga,” while sharing photos of himself watching his appearance in the show.
“Naki-‘Bazinga’ lang po tapos umuwi na, past bed time ko na po kasi (I just joined in the ‘Bazinga’ craze then went home. It’s because it’s already past my bed time),” he wrote.

On his Instagram Story, Justin quipped that he sought the help of Atayde to secure a spot to eat at prom.

Atayde, meanwhile, shared more behind-the-scenes moments with the SB19 member, jokingly tagging him as a “Bazingarist.”

Justin seemingly made a good impression on “Senior High” director Onat Diaz who posed with the SB19 member for a photo on his Instagram Story.

A video of Diaz asking his production staff to focus on Justin’s “cute” moments onscreen is also making rounds on social media, as seen on one @budaiday’s Tiktok page.
“Bigyan ako ng mga pa-cute ni Justin ah. Kailangan yung mapapatili yung mga fans (Give me more of Justin’s cute moments. It should make fans squeal),” he said in the video.

“Senior High” marks the P-pop idol’s first appearance as an actor. His debut was teased by the Kapamilya network last Jan. 5.
Justin debuted as the vocalist, visual, and creative director of SB19 in October 2018. The quintet is also composed of the members Pablo, Josh, Stell, and Ken.
