Catriona Gray feels ‘so loved’ after debut-inspired 30th birthday party

Catriona Gray was over the moon after celebrating her 30th birthday at a debut-inspired party, which marks her final coming-of-age as a single lady.
Gray rang in her 30s in a beautiful pink tube dress with fabric flowers by Ulysses Caragayan, in what seemed to be a surprise party at Z.Lounge rooftop bar in Mandaluyong. Photos of the party were shared on her Instagram account last Saturday, Jan. 6.
“Feeling so so loved. Thank you [to] everyone who made this surprise celebration/debut/ birthday sooo special. We sang and danced till the early morning,” she wrote. “So excited to be entering this new decade surrounded by such amazing people. Thanks also to everyone who has messaged and made me feel so loved!”

The debut-inspired bash also came with the traditional 18 roses and 18 treasures, and was attended by Gray’s loved ones and close friends including celebrities like Erik Santos, MJ Lastimosa, and Nicole Cordoves.
Gray, who was crying in most parts of the ceremony, then thanked her guests for making her birthday special, as seen in a highlights video on her page.
“It’s the people who walk beside you, who cry and celebrate with you, and whom you have fun with, whom you’re vulnerable with, who make life so, so beautiful,” she said.

The former beauty queen was welcomed by Milby, who held a flower bouquet, into the events place decorated with flowers, as seen on the Instagram page of celebrity events coordinator Christine Ong.
“Miss Universe @catriona_gray last birthday bash as a single lady. It’s like a debut, since she never had a debut when she was 18 — complete with Roses and Treasures,” she wrote.

The first part of the birthday party turned out to be a surprise crafted by Milby with an event coordinator, events stylist, and other suppliers, as seen on Pasig-based photography studio Nice Print Photography’s Tiktok page.
“Sam Milby surprises fiancée Catriona Gray with a rooftop debut of her dreams,” Nice Print wrote.

Beauty queens such as Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios, Hannah Arnold, R’Bonney Gabriel, Andrea Meza, Katrina Dimaranan, and Lara Quigaman sent their birthday wishes to Gray in the comments of her post.
Kim Jones, Gretchen Fullido, and Esther Swan also greeted the former beauty queen on her special day.

Gray and Milby, who announced their engagement in February 2023, are set to tie the knot within the year.
Details of their wedding, such as the venue and theme, are yet to be revealed to the public, as of this writing.
