Selena Gomez hints next album might be her last, to focus on acting soon
Selena Gomez hinted in a new interview that her upcoming album will likely be her last installment in her musical career as she now aims to focus on acting.
“I started having a lot of fun with music. I was doing my TV show at the same time. But the older I get, the more I’m kind of like, ‘I would like to find something to just settle on.’” she said on the SmartLess podcast.
The singer-actress affirmed that she is inclined to choose acting over music, and she sees the former as a more relaxed avenue.
“I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting. I am going to want to chill because I’m tired,” she expressed.
Despite having a successful gig in music, the 31-year-old has always been vocal about her passion for acting, citing that she has always seen herself more as an actress than a singer.

In December, the ‘Lose You to Love Me’ singer casually teased her next album after she responded to a fan’s query on social media about her third full album’s release.
A fan asked, “When is SG3 coming, Sel??” to which the Grammy nominee simply responded, “In 2 months.” She didn’t provide any more details about the project, such as a title or specific release date, but it’s enough for the fans to expect something new from the superstar in 2024.
Gomez started as a child actor on “Barney & Friends” in 2002. She had her breakout role on “Wizards of Waverly” during her stint at Disney Channel, and now she is currently starring on “Only Murders in the Building,” which has so far earned her two Emmy nominations.
