Ion Perez rang in the New Year on a blissful note as he promised his partner, actor-comedian and “It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda, that he would love him “until 2090.”
Perez looked back at some of his unforgettable memories with Vice Ganda in the past year, including their trips to Taiwan and Japan and fancy dinner dates, to welcome the New Year, as seen on his Instagram account last Monday, Jan. 1.
“Until 2090! MuhLOVE (My love). Welkam (Welcome) twenty twenty four,” he said in the caption.
In the comments, the host-comedian joked with Perez, saying he would learn how to edit videos, so he would apparently “overtake” him in his next set of posts.
“Ang goal ko this 2024 ay matutong mag-edit para di ka nakakalamang sa posting,” he said. “I love you babe ko! This year will be an amazing one for us, our families, those we love and those who love us! Happy New Year asawa ko!”
(My goal in 2024 is to learn how to edit videos so you wouldn’t overtake me in posting on social media. I love you, babe! This year will be an amazing one for us, our families, those we love, and those who love us! Happy New Year, my husband.)
The past year has been eventful for the couple, as they were summoned by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) for alleged “indecent acts” in one of the segments of “It’s Showtime” in July. This led to the noontime show serving a 14-day suspension three months later.
Perez and Vice Ganda, who went public with their romance in 2019, held a wedding commitment ceremony in Las Vegas in October 2021—a year after they got engaged.
