This is going to sound cliché, but right now, seeing what the world needs, I’m just praying for peace. Peace, peace, peace. We’re not blind. We’re seeing what’s happening all around the world, especially in conflict-affected areas. That’s what I pray for.

The holidays are extra special because of Deia (her daughter). Everyday is extra special now. As for plans, let’s just say we won’t be in Manila.

As we get older, there’s nothing more important than good health. That’s my wish for my family and loved ones, for them to stay healthy. For the industry, I wish for more work. I hope producers will make more quality movies because we all miss going back to the cinemas.

My goal this year is to be able to travel more. Because of the pandemic lockdowns in the past years, we have not had the chance to do much traveling.

I wish for the success of “Kampon” at the MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival). I hope it will end up being No. 1. For my personal wish, I pray for continued good health for my family. My husband and daughter are all that matter to me.

For my 2024 goals, I intend to surrender myself to all possibilities. I promise to be more open, to not worry too much, and to just be happy. —MARINEL CRUZ
