It seems that Kathryn Bernardo‘s mother, Min, and Daniel Padilla have remained on good terms despite the couple’s split, as they were seen exchanging hugs at a recent event.
Padilla and Min bumped into each other at the backstage of the ABS-CBN Christmas Special event, as seen in a video shared by content creator Patrick Concepcion on his TikTok page on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
After seeing Min, Padilla reached out his hand to hug her then gave her a kiss on the head. The actor also appears to have blurted a joke which caused Min to pat him lightly on the face.
Bernardo was also a few inches away from them, although she did not seem to notice the two as she was also talking to other people at the moment.

Fans were delighted over Padilla and Min’s interaction, with some pointing out that the two even had a banter, which apparently shows that all is well between them.

Padilla and Bernardo, who had been in a relationship since 2012, made their split public on Nov. 30 through separate statements. In her statement, Kathryn admitted that she and Padilla “have been drifting apart for a while now.”
The pair performed together at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special, which marked their first public appearance after confirming their breakup.
