MANILA, Philippines — Yllana Marie Aduana, the Filipino delegate in the 2023 Miss Earth pageant, topped the online poll for “Best Bikini.”
Voting platform Eventista announced the results on social media, at the conclusion of the second round of voting with the eight top delegates, two from each of the four geographic regions. Miss Earth also posted the announcement on social media.
“The voting of Best Bikini (Final Round) on social media is closed. Thank you to all the fans for supporting our contestants. Congratulations to MISS EARTH PHILIPPiNES – YLLANA MARIE ADUANA,” Eventista said.
Aduana shared the update on social media, and said, “MGA KABABAYAN. We made it!!! We won BEST BIKINI.”
She also thanked everyone who voted by liking and sharing her image during the voting period. “Mahal na mahal ko kayo,” she said.
Aduana earned perks for topping the poll. “The winner of BEST BIKINI gets the chance to double her voting points for 1 day from 2:00 PM Dec 19 to 2:00 PM Dec 20 (3 p.m on Dec. 19 to 3 p.m on Dec. 20 in Manila) with the Miss People’s Choice.,” Eventista said. Voting is done at https://missearth.1voting.com/.
“The winner of the ‘Miss People’s Choice’ will be granted a direct entry into the Semi-Finals!,” the voting platform said. As of the the most recent count revealed on Dec. 18, Aduana ranks second in the poll, next to Paraguay’s Gretha Matiauda.
Aduana will try to inherit the Miss Earth title from reigning Korean queen Mina Sue Choi, and become the fifth Filipino woman to capture the crown.
The 2023 Miss Earth pageant will hold its final competition at the Van Phuc City development project in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on Dec. 22. The ceremonies will be streamed live on the Facebook pages and YouTube channels of Miss Earth, TNA Entertainment, and Miss Earth Vietnam.
