Kyline Alcantara has been at the center of public curiosity after her supposed falling out with her onscreen partner and rumored boyfriend Mavy Legaspi.
In an interview with 24 Oras, Alcantara expressed her gratitude to family and friends who have supported her amid the controversies she’s facing.
“They’re my source of strength nowadays, especially, Hay, you’re going to make me cry, Tito Lhar, especially for the past few days. And not just my family, but my brothers, my friends, ‘yung mga tao po talaga na nakakakilala kung sino ako. Naramdaman ko po ‘yung pagmamahal, pagsusupporta, pagpoprotekta, at pagdepensa nila sakin,” she said.
(They’re my source of strength nowadays, especially, oh, you’re going to make me cry, Tito Lhar, especially for the past few days. And not just my family, but my brothers, my friends, the people who really know who I am. I felt their love, support, protection, and the way they have defended me.)
The young actress also shared how her Christmas is looking this year by stating two colors and what people can expect from her as she welcomes 2024.
“White, because I just want peace po, kapayapaan sa buhay. Red, kasi hindi po ako magpapaapak. Ako po ay lalaban pero hindi po sa isang maling paraan,” she declared.
(White, because I just want peace in life; red, because I won’t let anyone step on me. I will fight, but not in the wrong way.)
Alcantara said she wants to spend more time working, even though there are times when she feels down and anxious. However, she said that 2024 will see an upgraded version of her.
“La nueva kontrabida will be back. Braver, fiercer, stronger. Kyline Alcantara 2.0,” the actress affirmed.
In November, split rumors between Alcantara and Legaspi surfaced online, with the actor’s mother, Carmina Villarroel, making a series of cryptic posts that added fuel to the fire.
“Dear Mavy and Cassy, people can destroy your image, damage your personality, and create rumors about you, but they can never take away your good deeds. Because no matter how they describe you, you will always be admired by those who know you best,” Villarroel’s post read.
