Following their highly publicized breakup, there is no stopping Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla from making their first public appearance as they performed together on stage for the ABS-CBN Christmas Special live tonight at the Araneta Coliseum.
Videos of the former couple’s performance of Rembrandt’s I’ll Be There for You are circulating online, with fans unable to contain their feelings about seeing the love team together again.
In one video, the two were singing a duet of “I’ll Be There for You,” the theme song from the hit ’90s American sitcom “Friends”.

In another video, the ex-couple can be seen gamely posing for a camera. Afterwards, Bernardo can be seen having her hair and the back of her dress fixed by an assistant as she was facing Padilla, smiling a little when the actor Padilla was telling her something. However, the actress appeared to turn away when Padilla tried to touch her waist.

Before their live performance tonight, the actor was last seen doing a charity visit to an orphanage, while Bernardo has been busy with recent endorsements that she is posting online.

Despite what seemed to be a happy occasion for Bernardo and Padilla, many fans are wondering what the former love birds may be feeling being thrust into the limelight just weeks after baring to all their heartbreak after 11 years of togetherness.
Some netizens are pointing out that the two are just being professional at their jobs, while others said the two may be feeling awkward deep inside.
“Idk why their management needs to force them to do this. Like, hindi naman robot mga yan. This is so awkward, for sure! ” wrote X user @some1namedclara.

Bernardo and Padilla shocked the local entertainment industry on Nov. 30 after announcing that they are going separate ways after being together for 11 years, noting that they have been growing apart for a while now.
Padilla has been associated with numerous cheating allegations, mainly with another Kapamilya actress, Andrea Brillantes. Both camps, nor Brillantes, have not denied or confirmed the speculation.
In the recently uploaded ABS-CBN’s Christmas Station ID 2023, the former couple were seen in separate frames for the very first time since they have been a love team, making fans lose hope of seeing the couple together again until tonight.
