Andrea Brillantes seemed to have opted to keep her silence amid accusations she was a third party in Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo’s breakup, as the younger actress underscored that she is allotting her time to the work commitments she needs to attend to.
Brillantes spoke about this when interviewed along with her “Senior High” co-stars by entertainment reporter MJ Marfori for “Frontline Pilipinas” on Thursday, Dec. 7.
“Work never stops. Kamusta? Kaya pa? (How are you? Can you still manage?)” Marfori asked, to which she replied, “Yes. Hindi din naman pwedeng mag-stop e.” (Yes because I cannot afford to stop.)
“Madami pa akong kailangang gawin in life. Madami pa akong kailangang bayaran,” the 20-year-old actress added, chuckling. (I still have a lot to do in life. I still need to pay a lot of bills.)

Talking about her role in the TV series, Brillantes admitted that portraying such is a “responsibility” for her, but she noted that she is learning from her character.
“Siya ‘yung laging palaban at laging sumusugod, pero do’n mo rin maaaral na hindi dapat sumusugod ka lang parati,” the actress stated. “Dapat nagsa-strategize ka rin and pina-process mo muna ‘yung emotions mo.”
(She is the fierce and aggressive one. But it is also from her that you will learn why you should not always be confrontational; that you need to strategize and process your emotions first [before making an action].)
“‘Wag lang baril nang baril ng kung anu-anong mga salita. Dapat nag-iisip din muna,” she added. (Don’t just blurt out words. Think carefully first.)
Brillantes’ name has been dragged into Padilla and Bernardo’s split after showbiz insiders claimed that she had been meeting secretly with the actor.
Neither the former couple nor Brillantes has addressed the rumors so far, but fans were intrigued after they noticed that the actresses no longer follow each other on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Brillantes’ mom, Belle, seemed to have alluded to the rumors as she earlier lamented the “hatred in the internet,” which supposedly turned netizens into a “bunch of savages.” Belle also slammed a netizen who questioned the upbringing of her daughter.
