Taylor Swift clarifies relationship timeline with Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift is undeniably one of the most influential and famous people in the world. Despite her music being the main reason why people admire her so much, her romantic relationships with people have also been one of her main curiosities.
The singer-songwriter has previously broken up with her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn. She also had a brief controversial relationship with Matty Healy before dating her current beau, Travis Kelce.
Swift is seemingly in love and enjoying her time with Kelce, and in a recent interview with TIME as they named her Person of the Year for 2023, the 33-year-old singer revealed that the early days of her romance with the football player have been kept out of the public eye.
“[It] all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” said Swift. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other.
Officially a couple
This confession verifies that by sometime in September, when the 12-time Grammy winner was spotted at one of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games for the first time, the two had been an official couple.
“By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game. We would never be psychotic enough to launch a first date,” affirmed Swift.
The award-winning phenomenal figure noted that sometimes when relationships are put in the spotlight, people tend to put out a show of being there for each other, so when no one knows that you are dating somebody, there is this genuine effort to show up.
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves; we’re showing up for each other, other people are there, and we don’t care. The opposite of that is that you have to put in an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other,” she concluded.
