Kristel Fulgar wins at 2023 Global Influencer Award in South Korea

Kristel Fulgar was elated after she received the Influencer of the Month recognition at the 2023 Global Influencer Award, the Filipino actress-vlogger’s first-ever Korean award.
Fulgar celebrated her achievement through her Instagram page on Thursday, Dec. 7, showing moments from when she received the award in Seoul, South Korea.
“My first Korean Award. My first Daesang Award in Korea,” she captioned her post.
Fulgar earned the Daesang award—the highest honor in any Korean awards show—for her KrisTells Vlogs on her YouTube channel, which has been recognized by the award-giving body as the “most innovative and influential creator” for December.
“Honored to be selected as an [awardee]. Thank you,” she added.

Fans and fellow celebrities were all cheering for Fulgar as they extended their congratulatory greetings to her in the comments section.

Fulgar, a known enthusiast of K-pop and Korean culture in general, signed with Korean entertainment agency Five Stones Entertainment in November 2022. A month later, the “Goin’ Bulilit” alum made her first-ever TV guesting in a show under Korean media company Korea New Network (KNN).
Last August, Fulgar met her idol, South Korean singer-actor Seo In-guk, during the latter’s fan meeting in Manila. The actress was initially tapped to be the host of the fan meeting, but she announced hours before the event that she would no longer host the event due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
Fulgar admitted at the time that she was “not used to giving out 100% of [her] energy” during rehearsals, which was apparently the reason why the event director opted to replace her for the hosting stint.
