Maine Mendoza-Atayde expressed her support for her Dabarkads family and said that while she’s not present in the noontime show due to other work commitments, she’s with them in spirit in celebrating TVJ’s “Eat Bulaga” trademark case win

Mendoza shared a clip of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon singing their show’s theme song—this time including the full title “Eat Bulaga”—with the other “E.A.T.” hosts, via her X (formerly Twitter) page on Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Ang saya (It was so fun). Wish I was here!” she wrote.

“Nasaktuhan lang may ibang work pero I’m with the legit Dabarkads in spirit, nakiki-bulaga din!” she exclaimed. (It just happened that I had other work to do, but I’m with the legit Dabarkads in spirit, also celebrating!)

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPhl) earlier canceled the trademark registration of production company TAPE Inc. for the names “Eat Bulaga” and “EB,” and favored the position of TVJ that they are the rightful owners of the trademark.

The camp of TAPE is set to file a motion for reconsideration, with its legal counsel noting that they will exert all efforts to appeal the IPOPhl ruling.

TVJ, meanwhile, maintained that their position on the trademark case stands on solid ground and called for respect from the other party.
