Big Hit Music has confirmed that RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook of BTS will be enlisting in the army soon, and there will be “no official event” on the day of their mandatory services.
In an official notice on fan community platform Weverse on Tuesday, Dec. 5, Big Hit said the BTS members will be “enlisting in the army,” where RM and V will be “enlisting according to their respective procedures.” Jimin and Jungkook, meanwhile, are set to enlist together.
“Please note that there will be no official event on the day of their entry. The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only,” the label added. “To prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, fans are advised to refrain from visiting the site.”

All able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 28 in South Korea are required to enlist in the military for 18 to 21 months.
This means that BTS members might complete their mandatory enlistments by 2025, which is said to be the resumption of their official activities as a seven-member group.
