Kylie Padilla has yet to confirm whether she will reprise her role as Amihan in the upcoming series “Sang’gre” — a spinoff of the hit “Encantadia” franchise — but her followers were sent abuzz after she hinted at portraying her character again on Instagram.

Sharing a clip of her memorable fight scenes as Amihan on Instagram last Wednesday, Nov. 29, Padilla teased her fans on her possible return as the popular character.

“See you again I guess?” she said in the caption.

“Sang’gre” director Mark Reyes and lead star Bianca Umali seemingly confirmed the speculations as they expressed their excitement in the comments. Mikee Quintos also expressed excitement for Padilla’s possible return.

The post also drew the attention of Padilla’s fans, with some noting that the actress’ “amazingly cool” presence was among the highlights of the hit fantasy series.

Padilla starred as Sang’gre Amihan, the keeper of the Air Gem, in the reboot of “Encantadia” in 2016. Glaiza de Castro, Gabbi Garcia, and Sanya Lopez, meanwhile, took on the roles of her sisters and guards of the gems that maintain peace in the fictional kingdom.

Amihan was originally portrayed by Iza Calzado in the original series back in 2005.

The actress, however, made an abrupt exit in February 2017 as she was pregnant with her and estranged husband Aljur Abrenica’s first child Alas. She then apologized for her departure a month later, saying she had “terrible separation anxiety” for her character.

“Sang’gre” stars Bianca Umali, Kelvin Miranda, Angel Guardian, and Faith Da Silva. It is slated for a 2024 release, although further details are yet to be disclosed, as of this writing.
