Bianca Umali to portray Danaya’s daughter in upcoming GMA series ‘Sang’gre’

Bianca Umali will headline the upcoming series “Sang’gre,” a spinoff of the hit fantasy drama “Encantadia,” where she will take on the role of Terra.
Umali confirmed her role in the “Encantadia” spinoff in a 24 Oras interview, which was uploaded on its YouTube channel last Monday, Oct. 23, where her role is said to be the new keeper of the “brilyante ng lupa.”
Terra is the daughter of Sang’gre Danaya which was portrayed by Diana Zubiri in the original fantaserye in 2005, then by Sanya Lopez in the 2016 remake.
“Paulit-ulit ko sinasabi na (I keep on saying that) I’m thankful,” she said before tearing up. “Hindi ko ‘to hiniling pero ipinagkaloob sa’kin, that’s why I’m very, very thankful (I didn’t ask for this but this was given to me. That’s why I’m very, very thankful).”

The actress admitted that her preparation for the role feels like she’s doing a “Marvel movie” but she stated that she’s determined to do justice to her role.
“The way I’m preparing for [‘Sang’gre] is as if I’m preparing for a Marvel movie. Ganoon ko po siya pinaghahandan (this is how I’m preparing for it), I am preparing my physique for it, I’m preparing my skills for it, and I have been studying everything about ‘Encantadia,’” she said.
Umali also took to her Instagram account to announce her upcoming project.
“Ang kapangyarihan ng pangarap at paniniwala… Sa wakas… Mula sa bagong tagapangalaga ng Brilyante ng Lupa — AVISALA (The power of dreams and beliefs. Finally, the new protector of the stone of the land. Avisala),” her caption read.

Apart from Umali, other cast members included in the project as well as the storyline and premiere date are yet to be revealed, as of this writing.
“Sang’gre” is set to be the fifth series under the “Encantandia” franchise following “Encantadia” (2005), “Etheria” (2005), “Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas” (2006), and “Encantadia (2016).” EDV
