Lee O’Brian appears to have had a weekend well spent as he reunited and bonded with Malia, his daughter with his former partner, comedian Pokwang.
The American actor gave a glimpse of their father-and-daughter moments via his Instagram page on Monday, Nov. 27. Malia’s Instagram page, which appears to be managed by her father, also shared photos from their reunion.
“Had a blast this weekend with you, my dear Malia. Love you sweetie!” O’Brian said, showing photos of them making goofy faces while seemingly playing cards.
The last time the two were seen together was in January.
Fans as well as actress Iza Calzado expressed their delight via the comments section after seeing the father and daughter’s reunion.
Meanwhile, Pokwang couldn’t help but chime in after one @rochmanalang left a comment accusing the comedian of speaking ill of O’Brian.
“Iba ang naninira sa sinasabi ang totoo!” Pokwang replied. (Speaking ill of someone is different from saying the truth!)
O’Brian and Malia’s reunion came amid the legal battle between Pokwang and the actor. Pokwang filed in June a deportation complaint and cancellation of visa against O’Brian, with the comedian claiming that he has been using a tourist visa even when he has been staying in the country for the past eight years.
O’Brian, in turn, issued a counter-affidavit against Pokwang and appealed to the Philippine government to look at his case “fairly and with justice.”
Pokwang and O’Brian started dating in 2015, then welcomed Malia in 2018. The pair’s breakup was confirmed to the public in July 2022.
