Pokwang has opened a new Instagram account for her daughter Malia, while accusing her estranged partner Lee O’Brian of supposedly hijacking their child’s old page.

The actress-comedienne announced Malia’s new Instagram account under the username @malia_tisayngmasa18 on her social media platforms on Wednesday, Sept. 13, while requesting her fans to unfollow her daughter’s old page.

“Hi guys this is it!!! Please follow Malia’s new IG account @malia_tisayngmasa18 and please paki unfollow ang old one na @malia_obrian. Block or better paki mass report kesa pakinabangan ng iba na walang silbi hahaahahaa salamat po,” she said.

Pokwang then accused O’Brian of “not surrendering” Malia’s old Instagram account in a separate post, while noting that she doesn’t have control over that particular page.

“Hi everyone, I might block @malia_obrian IG [account] soon, wala po sakin ang control ng [account] nayan and ayaw naman i-surrender sakin ng tatay niya, so useless,” she wrote. “Dahil ayaw naman nya i-surrender samin ang IG ng anak nya so soon i-block ko na po this IG ni @malia_obrian, masakit pero sayang kasi naka tengga lang yung accnt ng bata ayaw nya ipagamit samin.”

(Hi everyone, I might block @malia_obrian Instagram account soon. I don’t have control over this account and her useless father wouldn’t surrender it to me. Since he doesn’t want to surrender his daughter’s Instagram, I’ll block @malia_obrian soon. It hurts but it’s such a waste for it to be left alone without allowing us to use it.)

The “Tiktoclock” host’s recent move earned support from her followers in the comments, with some saying Malia’s new Instagram account is a sign of “new memories” to come.

Pokwang made headlines in June 2023 after filing a deportation complaint and cancellation of visa against O’Brian, as she noted that taking her domestic woes to court is about asserting her rights as a mother and a woman.

O’Brian then issued a counter-affidavit against the actress-comedienne’s case, while hoping that the local government won’t exercise “any bias” in the matter. EDV
