Fans may ship Jane de Leon to some of her co-stars, but in reality, the actress-model is already taken by someone who doesn’t belong in show biz.
De Leon talked to members of the press during the press conference of “Shake Rattle & Roll Extreme” and opened up about the older, non-showbiz guy that she is currently dating.
“I’m dating someone. Non-showbiz,” she said. When teased, “Lalaki ‘yan no?” the actress joked, “Secret,” but eventually revealed, “Lalaki. Of course.”
The 24-year-old said he was a friend before they became a thing. “Mga 5-7 years ‘yung gap. Yung mga ex ko rin naman before ganon. ‘Yun ‘yung advice sakin ni mama, mas matanda. Ang mga babae kasi unang nagmamatured kesa sa mga lalaki,” she said.
De Leon further explained that dating someone younger could be a headache, so she wants someone more mature than her.
“Ayoko ng sakit sa ulo. Ayoko ng mga party party. Gusto ko ‘yung may matutunan ako, especially ano ako ngayon sa family ko, may mga responsibilities ako na ginagawa, so ‘yung gusto ko naman ‘yung susuportahan ako,” said the actress.

Before she dated the non-showbiz guy, de Leon in March sat down with Dr. Vicki Belo for the latter’s vlog and opened up about the celebrity guys she had dated without naming the said personalities.
The actress gave clues about the celebrities she had relationships with and highlighted that they were all older than her.
Her upcoming project after ‘Darna’
De Leon rose to fame when she landed the titular role in ABS-CBN’s “Darna.” However, she was first discovered by a talent scout from GMA Network during one of her modeling stints.
Before becominga full-time actress, de Leon, encouraged by her mother, joined beauty pageants. It was her current manager, Tyronne Escalante, who took her to Star Magic to launch her showbiz career.
The actress’ upcoming project will reunite her with “Darna” co-star Janella Salvador for their first movie together, titled How to Be a Good Wife, which is set to film soon.
