Michelle Dee revealed that her pageant sister, Miss Universe 2023 first runner-up Anntonia Porsild from Thailand, figured in an accident after the latter’s car was hit by another vehicle while she was on her way to an airport in Mexico.

The Filipino beauty queen gave an update on Porsild who left for Thailand, via the former’s X (formerly Twitter) page on Thursday, Nov. 23.

“Ann’s car just got hit [on the way] to the airport,” Dee said, apparently referring to Porsild’s nickname.

Porsild also took to her Instagram Live to give an account of what happened. Snippets from her video, which has already expired from her page, have been re-uploaded by fans on TikTok.

“…[If you] don’t know the way then drive slowly if you miss a turn, because you put yourself at risk and you put other people at risk as well,” Porsild said after narrating the incident in Thai language.

“We’re almost there. We’re reaching the airport now. Thank God that it was close to the airport and not really far,” she added.

Dee then assured worried fans that Porsild is safe, saying, “All gucci si Ann, meaning all good!”

Meanwhile, the two beauty queens, who have developed a close friendship during the Miss Universe pageant, gave a glimpse of their moments together before Porsild left for Thailand. The Filipino beauty queen also received jewelry as a “parting gift” from Porsild.

“It’s not goodbye, just see you later!” Dee wrote, showing photos of them together.

In a Miss Universe pre-coronation interview, Porsild revealed that her friendship with Dee started when they were in the same bus during pageant rehearsals. Fans dubbed the two as “PorDee,” which is a portmanteau of the beauty queens’ surnames.

“Michelle and I just really have each other. And a lot of people were saying that we don’t like each other, they’re in a feud, whatever it is, but that’s not true,” the Thai beauty queen said. “Michelle is such a sweetheart. She’s such a calming soul that brings calmness and peace.”

Dee and Porsild competed with 82 other delegates in the Miss Universe coronation night held last Nov. 18, wherein Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua emerged as the titleholder.

Aside from Dee’s Top 10 finish, she also bagged the Spirit of Carnival and fan vote awards, and was one of the pageant’s “Voice for Change” gold awardees.
