The race to the Miss Universe 2023 crown and becoming R’Bonney Gabriel’s successor is definitely on, as pageant organizers announced the dates for the global tilt’s preliminary competition and national costume show.

On its official Instagram page last Monday, Nov. 6, the Miss Universe Organization‘s (MUO) confirmed that the Gimnasio Nacional-based preliminaries will take place on Nov. 15 while the national costume show is slated on Nov. 16.

Details on the pageant’s culminating activities and where it will be aired are yet to be disclosed. The Philippines is 14 hours ahead of El Salvador.

Meanwhile, the coronation night is scheduled for Nov. 18 (exactly 9 a.m. on Nov. 19 in the Philippines) where it will be broadcast on the Kapamilya Channel and Metro.Style on YouTube, A2Z Channel 11 on TV, and iWantTFC app.

Gabriel, who arrived in El Salvador last Nov. 6, caught the attention of pageant fans after she was seen bringing a handful of big “balikbayan” boxes, which was noted for being “very Filipino.” She moved out of the New York-based Miss Universe apartment last Nov. 1.

Crossover stunner Michelle Dee is on a quest to bring back the Philippines’ semifinal streak at the global tilt, which ended last year after Celeste Cortesi failed to advance to the semifinals. She is also hoping to bring the country’s fifth Miss Universe crown.
