Bea Alonzo revealed that her upcoming Europe trip with fiancé Dominic Roque is “really important” for them, as this would be her first getaway as an official resident of Spain.

In a vlog uploaded on her YouTube channel last Sunday, Nov. 5, the actress shared that she will receive her residency card in the European country almost a year after she was granted a Golden Visa.

“Makukuha ko na ‘yung residency card ko (I will be getting my residency card). So I will be an official resident of Spain,” she said.

The actress also shared that she and Roque will explore Madrid in Spain, Lugano in Switzerland, and Florence, Tuscany, and Milan in Italy during their 20-day trip.

“It’s a really important trip for Dom and I. Ito rin kasi ‘yung unang beses na makakatira na ako sa bahay ko sa Madrid (This also marks the first time that I’ll be living in my house in Madrid),” she added.

Alonzo’s revelation comes a year after she obtained her Golden Visa as a legal resident of Spain in November 2022.

According to the Schengen Visa info’s official website, a Golden Visa is a residency permit given to non-European nationals who aim to “make a significant investment in the Spanish economy.” It noted that a grantee’s spouse and children have the privilege of working, living, and studying in the country as well.

In May 2022, Alonzo bought a two-bedroom apartment in Madrid which had “always been a dream” of hers.

While the actress didn’t disclose the value of her apartment, it was speculated to be worth at least €500,000 as golden visa nationals are required to “purchase real estate in Spain worth at least €500,000.”

“The real estate can be one single unit or several, with an overall worth of no less than €500,000,” as stated on the Schengen Visa info’s page.
