Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, Karylle, and Diana Zubiri — who made waves as the original Sang’gres in “Encantadia” — made fans emotional as they reunited for a special performance on “It’s Showtime’s” “Magpasikat” segment.
Screams were heard at the studio of the ABS-CBN noontime show after the actresses, decked out in costumes inspired by their characters, showed grace in an interpretative performance in what seemed to be an ode to the hit fantasy drama on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
In a video captured by one @AltStarMagic on X, Calzado (Amihan), Dizon (Pirena), Zubiri (Danaya), and Karylle (Alena) displayed their sisterly chemistry while pretending to be in battle during the performance of the so-called Team KALM, composed of Karylle, Amy Perez, Lassy, and MC.

The actresses then greeted the “It’s Showtime’s” audience with its signature catchphrase “What’s up, madlang people” which sent the segment’s judges, hosts, and audience into applause.
Following their performance, Zubiri expressed her excitement for their reunion on Instagram, where she addressed her “Encantadia” co-stars as her “sisters.”
“AVISALA! So good to be back! Love you sistahs,” she wrote.
The story of “Encantadia” is arguably one of the most successful fantasy franchises in the country which consists of the following series: “Encantadia,” “Etheria, “Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas,” “Encantadia” reboot, and the upcoming “Sang’gre.”
The 2005 drama, where Calzado, Dizon, Zubiri, and Karylle starred as the leads, revolves around four princess enchantress, called the sang’gres, who are responsible for guarding the elemental gemstones to maintain harmony in the kingdom.
In October, GMA announced that the spin-off “Sang’gre” is currently in the works, with Bianca Umali, Kelvin Miranda, Angel Guardian, and Faith Da Silva as the leads.
