MANILA, Philippines – Christian Bables hoped that Anji Salvacion wouldn’t give up on “learning [her] craft” as an actress, as he defended the latter from backlash surrounding her performance in “Linlang.”
The actor took to his X (formerly Twitter) account last Thursday, Nov. 2 to express his excitement for Salvacion, who stars as Kate Alcantara in the hit drama, to “unleash the brilliant actress” in her.
“Dear Anji Salvacion, I am excited for you to unleash the brilliant actress in you, for as long as you admit there’s a huge room for improvement, ok na yun (That’s okay). The rest ingay lang (is just noise),” he wrote.
Dear Anji Salvacion,
I am excited for you to unleash the brilliant actress in you ❤️ For as long as you admit there’s a huge room for improvement, ok na yun. The rest ingay lang. Please never give up on learning your craft. Meron yan, Anji. I believe in you ❤️#LinlangOnPrime

Bables also encouraged the “Pinoy Big Brother” alumnus to keep going in her acting career, and added that he “believes” in her.
“Please never give up on learning your craft. Meron yan (I’m sure you have that in you), Anji. I believe in you,” he said.
The actress-singer was also defended by her “Linlang” co-star Kaila Estrada in October, where the latter urged netizens to practice “kindness” since the remarks made against her have “gone too far.”
The “Dirty Linen” star’s post comes after Salvacion drew criticisms for her acting performance in the series which stemmed from several video clips circulating on social media.
She has since responded to the criticism in an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal earlier this month, saying she is a “work in progress” and is doing her best to improve.
