‘Rest in peace, Papa’: Maxene Magalona posts throwback video with dad Francis M
Days after his father Francis Magalona’s alleged affair was made public, Maxene Magalona uploaded a snippet from an old video of the two of them inside a car.
In the video, which Maxene posted on her social media accounts, she could be seen laughing hard in the passenger seat as her father was free-styling while negotiating the traffic on a highway
“The star (inaudible) the microphone. We’re doing this freestyle. Look at Maxene, she’s breaking out into a smile. She’s tryin’a laugh, she’s tryin’ get out of this. ‘Cause she can’t beat the one and only Francis,” the late music icon said in rap fashion, with one hand cupped over his mouth as if a mic.
Maxene simply captioned her post: “Rest in peace, Papa.” She also thanked a certain @i_am_zeey who found and originally posted the video on Instagram, calling her “Daddy’s girl Maxene.”

Save for a cryptic post, Maxene has adhered to what appeared to be a code of silence among members of the Magalona family, led by its matriarch Pia, amid the revelation of Abegail Rait, a former flight attendant, that she had a loving relationship with the Master Rapper 15 years ago, and even bore him a daughter, who was named after the two of them.

Tarroza, in a lengthy Facebook post, said that Francis had told him of his marital woes with Pia, and that he was only staying with her “for the children.”
Aside from Maxene, Francis and Pia had 5 other children together — Frank, Saab, Elmo, Clara, and Arkin. Pia had two other children from a previous relationship — Unna and Niccolo — who Francis had considered as his own.
Francis died in August 2008 after a short battle with leukemia while in the company of his family. EDV
