Reward increased for missing beauty queen Catherine Camilon
MANILA, Philippines — Another P100,000 has been added to the reward for anyone who has credible information on the whereabouts of missing beauty queen Catherine Camilon, according to Police Regional Office (PRO) 4A acting director Brig. Gen. Kenneth Lucas.
Lucas said the business sector of Calabarzon Police (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) offers to bring the total reward money to P200,000, following the amount of P100,000 given by Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste.
“Yung reward ni Vice Gov. Leviste ay malaking tulong na pabuya. Ito po ay tinapatan ng business sector ng PRO Calabarzon, nagbigay din sila ng P100,000 para sa tao na pwede magbigay ng impormasyon sa imbestigasyon nitong si Ms. Catherine,” Lucas said in an interview over Radyo 630.
(The reward from Leviste is a big help. The PRO Calabarzon business sector also offered P100,000 for anyone who could give information to help investigate Ms. Catherine’s case.)

Article continues after this advertisementBesides the additional reward money, Lucas also said they had already identified a person of interest in Camilon’s case.
He revealed that they identified this individual after PRO-4A activated its “Regional Committee on Missing Persons.”
The acting director opted not to reveal further information on the person but assured that they already got the individual’s contact details.
“Nakuha natin ang telepono niya at FB (Facebook) account at yun po ay gagamitin natin. Kasama rin natin ang ACG (Anti-Cybercrime Group) sa pag iimbestiga sa kaso ni Catherine,” he said.
(We already got the individual’s phone number and Facebook account. The ACG will also help us investigate Catherine’s case.)
Based on police reports, the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate was reported missing by her mother and sister days after she allegedly disappeared while traveling from Tuy to Batangas City on October 12.
The beauty queen’s mother, Rosario, last contacted her daughter around 8:33 p.m. on the same day. Rosario said Camilon has no known enemies or even a partner she can run away with. JMS/abc
