Paolo Rivero, father of basketball player Ricci Rivero, appeared to be making a tirade against a certain someone on social media, as he stressed the importance of dating someone with “good values and respect.”
Without mentioning anyone in particular, Paolo said in a cryptic post that it’s “important” to be in a relationship with someone who loves sincerely, without the intention of showing off and calling attention to themselves, per his Instagram account on Monday, Oct. 23.
“‘Yun naman ang hindi totoo,” he wrote, without tagging anyone in the caption. “Plus, importante yung maayos na ugali at pag respeto sa minamahal mo at hindi lang pakitang tao para mapag usapan, ‘yun naman ang sobrang layo at ‘yan ang sigurado ako.”
(Those speculations are not true. Plus, it’s important to date someone with good values, respect to their partner, and who doesn’t have the tendency to call attention to themselves. That is very far from before and I’m sure of it.)
Paolo’s post seemingly caught the attention of the baller and his girlfriend, beauty queen-turned-Los Baños councilor Leren Bautista, who seemingly agreed with his remarks, as seen in the comments.
Ricci confirmed his relationship with the Laguna-based politician last Oct. 21, which appeared to be made as a tirade against critics who bombarded them with cheating and third-party allegations.
The controversial pair’s romance is marred by controversy, as Bautista was accused to be the reason behind Ricci’s split with ex-girlfriend Andrea Brillantes back in June. Both denied the allegations on multiple occasions, and even took time to defend themselves on social media. /ra
