Ricci Rivero provoked by actress Bea Borres’ ‘nagmamalinis’ remarks

Ricci Rivero appeared to feel alluded to by a cryptic post of his ex-girlfriend Andrea Brillantes’ close friend and “Kadenang Ginto” co-star Bea Borres right after the basketball player confirmed to the public his relationship with beauty queen-turned-politician Leren Mae Bautista after months of speculation.

“Time is the ultimate truth teller,” Borres first said on X (formerly Twitter), on Saturday, Oct. 21, an oft-quoted declaration in local  show biz for when a long-suspected “truth” finally revealed itself, first used by Bea Alonzo, then by Nadine Lustre.

Borres made the remark on following Rivero’s announcement of his romance with Bautista after they were seen together in public several times amid cheating and third-party allegations. But the actress did not stop there; she made another post that apparently triggered Rivero.

“Lol hanggang hard launch nag mamalinis lmfao no (Laugh out loud at one who is being self-righteous even at the hard launch),” she wrote. In pop culture, “hard launch” is an act of introducing your significant other in a more straightforward way on social media.

Replying to her post, Rivero appeared ready for word war as he challenged her to “reveal their dirty laundry” while accusing someone of being unfaithful.

“Puro tweet, Bea. Gusto mo maglabasan tayo ng labada? Tara sabihan tayo kung sino talaga kumakabit? Hingi ka lifeline para may bala ka bago ka mag reply publicly for your publicity. Sayang pakikiaalam mo kung di ka kasama sa headline,” he said.

(Bea, you keep on tweeting. Do you want each of us to reveal our dirty laundry? Let’s reveal who was truly unfaithful. Ask for a lifeline so you can have something to hold on to, instead of replying for publicity. Getting involved in the issue is such a waste if you’re not part of the headline.)

Borres has yet to comment on the baller’s post, although she was recently spotted hanging out with Brillantes, and fellow actresses Danica Ontengco and Criza Taa, as seen on her Instagram Stories.

She was then seen with her family and the “Senior High” star, where they appeared to be visiting a loved one in the cemetery.

Also on Instagram, Borres posted a picture of herself with a remark about using a mouth tape, saying it has many “health benefits.” A mouth tape is a device used to help a person with sleep apnea to breathe properly through the nose while sleeping.

At the bottom of the picture, she texted: “Yung iba diyan kahit di tulog kailangan nito.” (Others need to use this even if they’re not sleeping.)

Rivero’s admission of his relationship with Bautista, who was long accused of being the third-party behind his breakup with Brillantes. Despite their denial of their relationship, the two of them were often seen together in public. EDV
