Herlene Budol expressed worry over the disappearance of her Miss Grand Philippines 2023 batchmate Catherine Camilon, reiterating the call for help in finding the latter.
“Catherine Camilon is one of my sisters sa Miss Grand International. Sana kung nasaan man siya ay nasa maayos siyang kalagayan at makauwi na siya sa kanyang pamilya,” the actress-beauty queen said in her statement to “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
(Catherine Camilon is one of my sisters in the Miss Grand International pageant. Wherever she is, I hope she is safe and she comes home to her family very soon.)
Budol then appealed to anyone who knows Catherine’s whereabouts or has leads to report them to the authorities.
“Tulong-tulong po tayo na magshare ng information para mapabilis ang paghahanap sa kanya,” she stated. (Let us all help share information about Catherine for the authorities to find her.)
“Sis, uwi ka na,” Budol concluded her message. (Sister, please come home.)
Catherine has been missing since Oct. 12. According to her family, Catherine left their home in Tuy, Batangas, on the night of Oct. 12 to go to Batangas City.
Catherine’s mom, Rosario, said that they tried to call the beauty queen but that her phone has been unavailable since Oct. 13. The Camilon family has requested for “privacy” amid the ongoing investigation on her disappearance.
Camilon, who also works as a model and public-school teacher in Batangas, represented Tuy at the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 pageant last July. /ra
