Following the successful launch of their hard-hitting single “Strings” from their sophomore album, P-pop girl group BINI is ushering in a new era.

Dubbed the “nation’s girl group,” the octet emphasizes the importance of living life at one’s own pace in their comeback track “Karera.”

Composed by Nica Del Rosario, the singer-songwriter behind “Rosas,” along with FlipMusic’s Jumbo De Belen and Jose Miguel Cortes, “Karera” is an upbeat and encouraging track that serves as a reminder that everyone has their own timeline.

Similar to their previous songs, “BINI” members also played a role in the creative process of the song. Colet, Mikha, and Stacey, three of the members, wrote their own rap parts.

Immediately after its midnight drop, “Karera” raced to the number one spot on the Philippines’ iTunes chart. More than a comeback, the track serves as a preview of the group’s upcoming EP that will be released in November.

In 2022, they dropped their sophomore album “Feel Good” accumulating over five million streams on Spotify and securing the top position on the iTunes albums chart in the country. Moreover, their bubblegum pop track “I Feel Good” was nominated at the BreakTudo Awards in Brazil, recognizing it as a standout work by an international music artist.

The girl group’s song “Na Na Na” from their debut album became a TikTok trend and has since become their signature sound.

In the P-pop scene, they lead the pack when it comes to bubblegum pop singles, even being lauded as the Best Female Group at the Saludo Excellence Awards 2021 and the P-pop Group of the Year at the TikTok Awards Philippines 2022.

The music video for “Karera” will premiere tonight, Sept. 22, at 9 p.m., while the audio track is already available for streaming on various music platforms.
