YG Entertainment clarified that the discussions on Blackpink members Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé’s contract renewal with the music label are still ongoing and have yet to be confirmed.

The South Korean music label made this clarification in response to insiders who earlier claimed that out of the four members of the girl group, only Rosé had renewed her contract with YG Entertainment.

The sources further said that Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa were supposedly in talks to transfer to other talent agencies, but that the K-pop stars would likely allot six months out of a year for group activities.

“Currently, Blackpink’s contract renewal has not been confirmed and is being discussed,” the label said in a statement obtained by media outlet Soompi on Thursday, Sept 21.

Blackpink, whose exclusive contracts with YG Entertainment ended in August, wrapped up their “Born Pink” world tour in Seoul last Sept. 17.

During their finale show, the members opted not to talk about the contract renewal although Jennie assured the fans that the group “will work hard and continue to be Blackpink who always impresses.”  /ra
