After losing “over a hundred pounds,” Sharon Cuneta confessed that she underwent cosmetic surgery to remove excess off her body while noting that “there’s no reason” to hide it.

“I don’t want to hide it naman eh. Kasi remember, I had reduction sa breasts ko because it was all skin. So, ‘yung tinanggal, mostly skin (Remember that I removed excess skin off my breasts because it was all skin. So what was removed was mostly skin,” she told reporters at the press conference of her upcoming reunion concert with ex Gabby Concepcion, per Inquirer Bandera.

“And I don’t want to hide it, there’s no reason to, hindi naman nakakahiya (it’s not an embarrassing fact after all),” she continued.

The veteran singer-actress has been open about her weight-loss journey on social media, where she revealed in March 2022 that it helped her in overcoming a heart problem.

During the mediacon, Cuneta also noted that her skin appeared to be sagging after losing “so much weight” for about seven years now.

“Because I lost so much weight, over a hundred pounds, naturally, mas sagging ‘yung skin. So, I had arms surgery. Nagpatanggal ako ng balat,” she said. “Kasi, ang payat-payat ko na, ang laki pa ng balat. So, ipinatanggal lang ‘yung extra skin, ‘yun lang.”

The Megastar is currently promoting her reunion with ex-husband Gabby Concepcion for their “Dear Heart” concert October show.

Cuneta also addressed her apparent tiff with eldest daughter KC Concepcion amid the latter’s unfollowing of her husband Kiko Pangilinan and daughter Frankie Pangilinan in the same event, where she clarified that she doesn’t “play favorites” when it comes to her children. EDV
