Sandara Park ‘sad, disappointed’ after Cebu City concert was postponed
Sandara Park couldn’t help but feel disappointed in the outcome of a Cebu City concert where she was supposed to perform but ended up being postponed due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
Park was among the performers of the “Awake: A New Beginning” joint concert, which was initially set to take place on Sept. 23 in Cebu City. Also part of the lineup are K-pop groups AB6IX, VIVIZ, and YOUNITE, as well as Korean dance crews 1Million and MB Crew.
However, the concert organizer confirmed its postponement last Friday, Sept. 15, citing “unexpected weather moves and unforeseen circumstances.”
Park expressed her dismay over the postponement of the concert on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, Sept. 18, while apologizing to fans.
“I’m so sad and sorry for my fans [because] of the cebu concert. I’m also very very sad and disappointed with what happened. I was preparing a lot for the show,” she said. “But there is always next time so pls [praying emoji] I hope you guys are ok and don’t forget I’ll always be here for my Daralings and Blackjacks. #staystrongdara #staystrongdaralings.”

In a separate post, the “Festival” singer confirmed that she wouldn’t participate in Paris Fashion Week as she was “supposed to be in [another] country” for work.
“And I’m not going to PFW this year. I was supposed to be in [another] country for work [at the end] of this month but unfortunately, it just got canceled too. what is happening… my god. So it is already too late to prepare for Paris. What bad timing,” she said.

Despite the unexpected turn of events, Park remained hopeful that she would meet her fans in the future, while reminding them that they’re “still young.”
“There are always ups and downs in life. Honestly, I’m not feeling good but how much more Daralings and Blackjacks feel,” she added. “You guys are always happier than me during my good times and more sad and hurt during my bad times. But there’s [always a rainbow] after the rain. I love you guys.”

The singer-actress is set to be a special guest in the upcoming solo concert of GOT7’s BamBam on Sept. 22. Both K-pop idols are labelmates under South Korean label Abyss Company.
Earlier this year, the 2NE1 member was supposed to be part of the “Epicon” joint concert last April with her bandmate Minzy, but had been postponed to a later date due to “unforeseen circumstances.” EDV
