Willie Revillame’s ‘Wowowin’ to make comeback soon: ‘Malapit na malapit na!’

Willie Revillame’s show “Wowowin” confirmed its upcoming return on air, seemingly hinting that it is set to happen very soon on government-owned networks People’s Television Network (PTV) and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corp. (IBC).

The announcement was made through the show’s Facebook page on Thursday, Sept. 7.

“HINDI NA CHISMIS! Malapit na malapit na!” it said, showing a photo of Revillame with IBC executive Jimmy Policarpio and PTV general manager Analisa Puod. (It is finally confirmed! It is happening very soon!)

While the show did not give further details on its comeback, Puod disclosed in a recent media conference that “Wowowin’s” airing on PTV and IBC was still under negotiation.

“It’s a tripartite discussion with IBC 13 and then PTV [and] Willie. So, matagal po ‘yung proseso, marami pong inaayos (It’s a long process with many factors to consider), but all of the parties are hoping for a very positive outcome of our negotiation,” she had said.

Revillame first teased the return of “Wowowin” in July by releasing his new song “Babalik Ako.” In the same month, speculations that the TV host would be making his comeback on PTV arose after he was spotted at the headquarters of the government-owned network.  /ra
