Lovi Poe expresses admiration for sister Sen. Grace Poe in birthday greeting

Newlywed actress Lovi Poe was all praises for her sister, Sen. Grace Poe, as she marked the latter’s special day on social media.
The “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” actress, via a pair of Instagram Stories, expressed her love and admiration for the lawmaker as she posted pictures of the birthday girl during Lovi’s wedding to Britain-born Hollywood film producer Monty Blencowe in England last month.
In one Story, Lovi uploaded a snap of her older sister as she walked down the aisle, and wrote that Grace is a worthy role model. “She has always been someone worth emulating. She’s not named Grace for nothing, and I can’t believe that that someone is my sister. [heart emoji],” the former Kapuso actress shared.

“Today, I celebrate the day you were born. I could only wish to even be half as loving and as graceful as you are. Always love you [heart emoji],” continued Lovi in another Story, in which she shared a heartwarming photo of the sisters sharing an embrace on the day of the actress’ wedding.

The actress-singer’s heartfelt messages were shared by Grace on her Instagram Stories.
Prior to her birthday, the senator also spoke highly of her younger sister when she gave a speech on her wedding day. She expressed how she found qualities of their father, Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ), in the “Seasons” star.
“You are a very kind person. You’re generous with your time, with your kindness. You are disciplined. You are very modest… You’re independent-minded,” Grace told Lovi.
“You’re beautiful, you’re very intelligent, and you’re strong. I know you can weather anything because you are the daughter of FPJ,” the senator later added.
Meanwhile, the older Poe also shared the time when she realized that Lovi’s relationship with Blencowe was “something else.”
“Lovi stayed briefly at our place in LA. And as I was cleaning some stuff in the house — This was a few years ago, like maybe four years ago. You were already practicing writing the last name of Monty,” revealed Grace.
The sisters, who first met during the wake of their father in December 2004, also have a brother, DJ-entrepreneur Ron Poe, who also got to witness the couple say their “I do’s.” Ron’s mother is actress Anna Marin, who appeared in the ongoing Kapamilya series “The Iron Heart.” EDV
